Hibernian Airlines

♦ Spain’s Air Nostrum’s owners, Carlos Bertomeu and Air Nostrum partners established the company in Apr2017 as an privately held carrier independent from Air Nostrum’s operations. Hibernian Airlines, which specialised in European wet-lease operations, received its AOC in Jan2019 and started operations the same year. Hibernian Airlines effectively ceased all active flying and commercial operations 31Dec2024. In Jul2026, Air Nostrum’s leadership initiades formal corporate dissolution proceedings for both Hibernian Airlines and the SARA joint holding company, winding up the entity and finalizing the exit from the standalone Irish subsidiary
