♦ Legend Airlines was formed in 1997 as a way to bolster interstate service and provide another choice to long time airport tenant, Southwest Airlines. Commenced operations on 05Apr2000. Legend Airlines filed bankruptcy in Dec2000, after only eight months in operation. The airline continued to provide charter services until Feb2001, when operations were finally halted and assets liquidated
