♦ Nesma Airlines, a member of Saudi Arabia’s Nesma Group was founded in 2008 and operated its first commercial flight on 18Jul2010, from Hurghada to Ljubljana. The carrier retired its sole A319 and suspended operations in Dec2021 and hoped to restart in 2022 for Umrah (Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca) The transition to the flyplus identity began in Sep2025 following the airline’s acquisition by an Egyptian investment group. The brand rollout is running concurrently with a complete modernisation of the airline’s commercial footprint.
