Venus Airlines was founded in Athens in late 1992 as a joint venture between the Greek group Karabatis and the Swedish airline Nordic East Airways. The Greek government revoked the company’s operating license in Nov1996. Venus Airlines was granted a new approval shortly afterwards; however, it did not resume flight operations. It would later emerge as Princess Airlines in 1998 with backing from a French tour operator
