♦ TAM (Transportes Aereo Militar) started operations on 15Jun1945 as ETA by the Air Force to offer flights to rural communities where commercial airlines could not operate profitably. The airline ceased all civilian passenger operations with effect from 16Dec2016 following a directive from the Bolivian Ministry of Public Works issued on 08Dec2016. Renamed to TAM Bolivia in 2017. TAM Bolivia suspended flights during Aug2018 as a result of re-certification issues but is hoping to restart in early 2019. Received another AOC in Apr2019 and restarted in Mar2019. A recent ruling by the Bolivian government saw the airline grounded on 23Sep2019 until further notice but relaunch plans are progressing ♦
