When United Air Lines took over LAMSA (Lineas Aereas Mexicana, S. A. de C. V.) in 1943, it dropped Gordon Barry’s old Mazatlan-Tayoltita route, which had been maintained under a permanent route certificate on behalf of the San Luis Mining Company.
