– [TAP Air Portugal (ii) was created as Transportes Aereos Portugueses on 14Mar1945 & began commercial services on 19Sep1946. Renamed to TAP AIR PORTUGAL when it was nationalised and to current name in Feb2005. On 14Sep2017, TAP Portugal was renamed TAP Air Portugal, going back to the name used between 1979 and 2005
