[ – TAME Ecuador was founded as a branch of Ecuadorian Air Force on 17Dec1962. Inaugural flight on 04Dec1962. Renamed to Transportes Aereos Mercantiles Ecuatorianos and was converted into a separate branch by constitutional decree in 1990 and renamed to current name. In 2011, Tame changed its legal status to a state owned company, no longer under the administration of the Ecuador Air Force. On 20May2020 the Ecuador government decided to cease all the operations and liquidate the airline
