Tajik Air (ii)

♦ Tajik Air (ii) was established as Stalinabad Aero-Centre on 03Sep1924 and became the Aeroflot Tajikistan Directorate. Renamed to Tajik Air (i), then Tajikistan Airlines and back to Tajik Air (ii). On 14Jan2019 Tajik Air (ii) ceased all operations after failing to deal with its increasing financial problems but resumed operations in Jul2019 with new owners. Tajik Air (ii) has not operated flights since September 2020 due to technical and financial problems but dry-leased two Airbus aircraft from Turkiye in late December last year and hopes to resume flights. The carrier is now looking at 3Q2023 for restart
