♦ Samaritan Air Service was formed by Adam Keller in 1987 and he oversaw the growth of the company from a single turbo-prop aircraft to Canada’s largest provider of air ambulance service with a fleet of 15 aircraft providing service to North American and European destinations. The carrier had a base in Kingston and at Buttonville Airport in Toronto and later relocated to YYZ. Samaritan Air Service was merged into SkyService in 1997. Skyservice Air Ambulance, now SkyAlta (as of 2019), was established in 1989 and has a long, rich history in the provision of high quality, accident-free air ambulance transportation on a global basis.
