SKOGA (People’s Aviation Corp. of China)

SKOGA was formally established on 01Jul1950 A joint Soviet-Communist China airline. Took over HAMIATA. Merged with CHINA CIVIL AVIATION CORPORATION to form CAAC [CAAC (formed on 02Nov1949) took over the operations of SKOGA (established on 01Jul1950) a joint Soviet-Communist China airline on 01Jan1955. On 01Jul1988 CAAC was split into the separate divisions and each one given it’s own name. Air China was the Beijing based international division. Absorbed Inner Mongolian Airlines in 1995 and integrated China Southwest Airlines and Zhejiang Airlines in in 2003]
