SEAAT flew passengers and cargo throughout Cambodia. The fleet consisted of Convair 440 and 340 passenger planes. It also had one Carvair and numerous DC-3 aircraft. All but one of the planes that flew in country were destroyed by the Khmer Rouge when Cambodia was over run. One Convair 440 was flown to Thailand several months prior to the fall of Cambodia. One Convair 440 that had been purchased from Gulf Air never made it to Cambodia. My father and I ferried it from Bahrain to Singapore in 1976. This Convair flew freight from Singapore to Malaysia until 1979. SEAAT went out of business in 1979 due to high fuel prices. Khmer Akas was also flying during the early 70’s. Some of SEAAT’s original flights were under the Khmer Akas paint
