Rennies Air (Transvaal) operated a daily scheduled passenger service between Jan Smuts Airport, Johannesburg and Newcastle, using either a Piper Navajo Chieftain or Cessna 402. This schedule, which was inaugurated in the spring of 1974. was flown during the week from Monday to Friday. The company was one of the largest charter operators in South Africa, specialising among others, in fish- and whale-spotting trips
and surface sea temperature measuring missions. Rennies Air (Natal) flies a scheduled service between Durban and Ladysmith in association with Tugela Air Services
