Pearson Aircraft was founded by Earl Pearson and flew Port Angeles-Seattle-Olympia. Acquired by San Juan Airlines in 1981
– [ALASKA AIRLINES traces its roots to McGEE AIRWAYS which was started by Linious "Mac" McGee on 30Jun1932. In 1934 McGEE AIRWAYS merged into STAR AIR SERVICES. In 1937 Star Air Service purchased Alaska Interior Airlines and was incorporated as Star Air Lines. The name was changed to ALASKA STAR AIRLINES in 1942 along with 3 smaller airlines (Lavery Air Service, Mirow Air Service, and Pollack Flying Service). Alaska Airlines name was adopted on 02May1944 from Alaska Star Airlines & it commenced operations on 06Jun1944. Acquired ALASKA COASTAL-ELLIS AIRLINES in 1968, CORDOBA AIRLINES in 1968, JET AMERICA in 1987 and SAN JUAN in 1989. Code shared with ERA Av. known as Jet Alaska. First commercial operator of Lockheed L.100 in 1965 and launch customer for B737-900 (2001). Only airline to operate both CV880 and CV990. Regional carrier based at SeaTac, Washington State]
