Pacific Air Freight was founded in Seattle in 1947. It merged with Airborne of California
[ – ABX AIR was formed in 1968 when Airborne of California and Pacific Air Freight of Seattle merged to form Airbourne Freight Co.. The name was changed on 01/May/1980 to Airborne Express. The carrier acquired Midwest Air Charter and Sky Courier in 1988. Renamed to current name in 2003 before it’s acquisition by DHL
