♦ Plattsburgh-based Clinton Aero began operations on 01Oct1981, operating a fleet of Cessna 172, Piper Aztec, Beech 99 and Beech 1900 equipment. In 1984, the Brockway Glass Company of Pennsylvania acquired both Clinton Aero and Burlington, Vermont-based Air North (i) (formed as Northern Airways). The two carriers were merged together and began operating as Brockway Air on 04Oct1984. In 1989, the holding company of Metro Airlines and Metroflight Airlines acquired Brockway Air and changed the name of the company to Metro Air Northeast. The carrier ceased operations in Feb1991
