♦ Main Flying Service (i) was officially incorporated in the State of Maine in 1930. It was part of the early wave of commercial aviation attempts following the “Lindbergh Boom”. Like many small carriers during the Great Depression, the company struggled with the high cost of maintenance and a shrinking customer base. It vanished from active registries by late 1934 as activity as the Great Depression deepened
