Link Airways (i) was formed in 1980
[ – Airlink’s origins are rooted in three small airlines, Magnum Airlines, Border Air and Citi Air, which merged to form Link Airways in 1980. Subsequently, when Link Airways was liquidated in 1992, Rodger Foster and Barrie Webb, the two founders, had successfully bid for the business, they named the newly acquired airline Airlink Airlines. The new carrier began operations on 11Jun1992. The carrier has Air Midlands merge in in 1992. Airlink Airlines had Midlands Aviation merge in and became SA Airlink in 1994 in a cooperative effort with South African Airways and SA Express. The SA was dropped in 2006]
