♦ L’Express was founded by Stephen Reed in New Orleans in 1989 with the intention of providing an intrastate airline to serve the major cities of Louisiana. On 09Jan1991, due to increasing fuel costs, L’Express filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. In Feb1992, the airline ceased operations and was officially shut down on 28Feb1992
