Kilwa Air

♦ Formed in 2006, operating out of Entebbe International Airport (EBB), the Ugandan branch of Kilwa Air was established specifically to bridge the legal and logistical gaps required to move heavy mining cargo between Uganda and the conflict-heavy Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). During a highly publicized, sweeping regulatory cleanup hearing hosted by the UCAA in Kampala, the board evaluated struggling local carriers.
