Karinou Airlines was established as African Airlines in Apr2012 with Lebanese investors. The carrier started operations in May2012. Renamed Karinou Airlines less than a year later and offered charter flights from Bangui with the first flight on 01Feb2013. Suspended charter flights in favor of launching African regional scheduled services and the inaugural scheduled service from Bangui to Kinshasa took place on 12/Feb/2013
