In 1988 CAAC was split into the separate divisions and each one given it’s own name. Air China was the Beijing based international division. Absorbed Inner Mongolian Airlines in 1995 and integrated CHINA SOUTHWEST AIRLINES and ZHEJIANG AIRLINES in in 2003
