Höga Kusten Flyg was established in 2007 to operate domestic flights between Stockholm, Sweden and Örnsköldsvik. In Dec2012 it bought the much bigger Swedish airline Nextjet, however both companies continued to use their own branding until 01May2017 when Höga Kusten Flyg merged into NextJet

NextJet is the operating name of NEX TimeJet offering regional scheduled and charter services out of Stockholm Arlanda. NextJet announced that it has filed for bankruptcy with all flights having since been grounded on 16May2018. On 01Jun2018, the airline was purchased by Olsen Group to resume operations on 11Jun2018, rebranding the airline as Air Scandic
