Harbour Air Seaplanes was founded in 1982 and operations started on 30Jun1982 as Windoak Air Service to provide seaplane charter services for the forestry industry in BC. Canada’s largest seaplane airline out of Vancouver. In 1993, Harbour Air purchased Trans-Provincial Airlines, added charter flights to resorts, and increased scheduled services. This also provided the opportunity to rename to it’s current name. On 09May2012 Harbour Air purchased Whistler Air and in Sep2013, Harbour Air launched a land-based charter carrier, Tantalus Air. Salt Spring Air was purchased in Nov2015. Had West Coast Air merge in in 2015?. The Harbour Air Group consisting of Harbour Air Seaplanes, Whistler Air, West Coast Air and Saltspring Air has become one of the largest all-seaplane airlines in the world
