
Wheeler Airlines was Canada’s oldest airline, having been founded in 1921 as Gray Rocks Air Service by Tom Wheeler. The company was mostly engaged in non-scheduled operations, but has operated two scheduled services from Montreal to St Jovite, Val d’Or and Great Whale River. The TBM-3 Avengers and Mearman biplanes are used for forest spraying. Wheeler Airlines sold its heavy transport division to Nordair in Apr1960 and renamed itself to Wheeler Airlines (1960). Taken over by Nordair in 1967
