♦ GoAir was launched by the Wadia Group (best known for for it’s textile brand Bombay Dyeing) as a low-cost carrier on 04/Nov/2005 and operations starting the same day. On 17Mar2020, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, GoAir suspended its international flights. Wadia Group-controlled budget carrier GoAir filed for an initial public offering to raise 36 billion rupees ($491 million) and reinvented itself as Go First on 13May2021, after fifteen years of flying. Go First ceased operations 03May2023 but is hoping to restart in Feb2024
