Globus Airlines

Globus Airlines was established as the wholly-owned charter arm of S7 Airlines in Jan2007, and awarded its own AOC on 07Mar2008. In Aug2019, the airline’s head announced that S7 Airlines and Globus Airlines will merge by Dec2019, therefore closing the operations of Globus

[ – S7 was formed as Tolmachevo State Aviation Enterprise, former Aeroflot division in May1957. Renamed to Siberia Airlines on 15May1992, a state-run airline was created based on the squadron in 1992 and later privatised in 1994. In 2001 Siberia Airlines had an insolvent Vnukovo Airlines merge in and also absorbed Baikal Airlines and then in 2004, the airline absorbed Chelyabinsk Airlines and Enkor. Rebranded as S7 Airlines on 15Mar2005. The airline had its daughter company, Globus Airlines merge in Dec2019
