Genair’s parent company was General Relays (Crewe). In Nov1980 the step was taken to invest in a company aircraft, which would also be offered for executive charter when not required. It expanded into scheduled routes in 1980, building up an extensive regional connectivity network over the next two years when they were merged with Eastern Airways (i) and Casair under the Genair name. It was the first of the BCAL Commuter services. The rumour spread on 13Jul1984 that Genair had been placed into receivership
