♦  In 2003, Niki Lauda, ex-Grand Prix driver and founder of Lauda Air, acquired the former Aero Lloyd Austria operation. The airline, having been founded in early 2003, started operations on 28Nov2003 as FlyNiki

[ – Amira Air was founded in 2004 by investor Ronny Pecik. In 2016, Niki Lauda took over Amira Air and renamed the company Laudamotion. Up until Feb2018, the airline operated chartered business flights with a fleet of business jets. This operation was moved to a new unit to make way for scheduled passenger flights. In Mar2019, the airline changed its brand name from Laudamotion to just Lauda. As of 31 October 2020, Lauda ceased all operations with its assets being handed over to Lauda Europe
