Flying Fox Services was acquired by Delta Air Service in 1929
– [Delta Air Lines was founded on 30May1924 as Huff Daland Dusters as the world”s first crop dusting company. Started passenger services in 1929 as Delta Air Service. Acquired Flying Fox Services in 1929. Name was changed to Delta Air Corporation in 1934 and renamed again in 1934 to present name. Merged with Chicago & Southern Air Lines in 1953 & renamed to Delta C&S until 1955, Absorbed Northeast Airlines in 1972 & Western Airlines in 1986. Had Northwest Airlines integrate in in 2010.
