Flagship Express

The air transport division of Ypsilanti, Michigan-based Rosenbalm Aviation was renamed Flagship Express in late 1990 and operations started in Mar1991. Operations from the municipal airports at Detroit and Medford, Oregon, continue as before. The company’s principal business remained air cargo and express service under contract to other carriers, including Emery Worldwide and Burlington Air Express. In an effort to gain some independence from the forwarders who have provided most of the carrier’s previous business, the airline moved from Detroit to Chicago but operations ceased on 03Dec1991. The carrier’s assets were liquidated in early 1992
