Ernest Airlines

Fly Ernest was founded on 16-Oct-2015 and commenced service operations on 01-Jul-2016 with a three times weekly Tirana-Ancona service. Flights are operated by Mistral Air. Renamed to Ernest Airlines in 2017. It was reported that the airline has halted operations but appears to have restarted with charters, with scheduled operations to follow. The Ente Nazionale per l’Aviazione Civile (Enac) has suspended the licence of Ernest Airlines as of 13-Jan-2020. The Italian civil aviation authority explained that the date had been chosen so that holiday traffic could still be handled. Ernest Airlines suspended all of its remaining flight operations as of 11-Jan-2020. The carrier has stated that it will restart operations utilising ATR72 aircraft in Dec-2020. Unfortunately an Italian court has declared Ernest Airlines bankrupt in Nov-2020
