♦ Oneida County Aviation was founded on 22Sep1975 by Paul Quakenbush at Utica. The success of the Utica-Syracuse route prompted Quakenbush to split the airline and formed Empire Airlines (i). Empire Airlines (i) merged into Piedmont on 01May1986 ♦

♦ US AIRWAYS was established as ALL AMERICAN AVIATION flying airmail pickup in Pennsylvania. Became ALL AMERICAN AIRWAYS in 1948 when passenger were transported. Renamed to ALLEGHENY AIRLINES in 1953. Absorbed LAKE CENTRAL AIRLINES in 1968 and MOHAWK AIRLINES in 1972. Renamed to USAIR in 1979. Merged with PIEDMONT AIRLINES in 1988 and PSA in 1989. Renamed to US AIRWAYS on 27Feb1997. AMERICA WEST was integrated in beginning in early 2006. Merged into American Airlines on 17Oct2015 ♦
