Cyprus Airways Logo 2017♦ In 2016, it was announced that S7 Airlines was planning to launch a Cypriot airline under the name Charlie Airlines. The carrier signed a licensing agreement with the Cypriot government wherein the start-up carrier will have access to the Cyprus Airways logo and brand. Rebranded as Cyprus Airways (ii) prior to starting operations in late 2016. The carrier started operations on 01Jun2017
