Conquest Sun Airlines

Conquest Sun Airlines was founded in Jun1993 by the management of two small airlines: Destination Sun Airways and Conquest Airlines, with Conquest Airlines co-founder Victor Rivas being heavily involved in the establishment of Conquest Sun. The carrier started operations on 06Oct1993. It acquired Destination Sun Airways in 1993. Ceased operations on 01Sep1994 before being renamed to AirTran

[ – Southwest Airlines was incorporated by Herb Kelleher and Rollin King on 15Mar1967 as Air Southwest. Renamed on 29Mar1971 and began operations on 18Jun1971. Took over MUSE AIR on 25-Jun1985 with it continuing to operate as a separate airline until 13Feb1986 when its name changed to TranStar. Operated the first B737-300 revenue flight in 1984. Acquired MORRIS AIR in 1994. Absorbed AirTran in 2012. Launch customer for B737-700
