[ – Comair was initially formed on the 17/Dec/1943 and started operations on 15/Jun/1946 as Commercial Air Services. Renamed to current name in 1967. Took over Phalaborwa Air Services in the 1970s. Comair resumed operations on 17Mar2022, after the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) suspended its operating license on 12Mar2022. Comair and its low cost subsidiary Kulula.com suspended operations as of 31May2022. Comair will be liquidated as the airline could not secure the necessary capital to recommence operations
