♦ Following the collapse of Presidential (owner of the original Colgan Airways), Charles J. Colgan decided to revive his airline in 1991 with his son, Michael J. Colgan. They decided to use the name National Capitol, and began service between Washington Dulles (IAD) and Binghamton, NY (BGM). Later, the father-son team decided to renamed the airline and adopted the name Colgan Air which started operations on 01Dec1991. It was acquired by Pinnacle Airlines Corporation for US$20 million on 18Jan2007. Pinnacle Airlines Corporation phased out the Colgan Air name on 05Sep2012, and transferred personnel and logistics to Pinnacle Airlines (now named Endeavor Air) ♦
