♦ Channel Air Ferries was registered in London on 08May1936 by Capt. Gordon Olley, as a subsidiary of Olley Air Services. The first scheduled commercial flight by Channel Air Ferries was on 15Sep1937. Following the formation of Great Western and Southern Air Lines, on 05Dec1938, the new entrant gradually assumed Channel Air Ferries’ services plus several of Railway Air Services, operating them under the Great Western and Southern Air Lines name until 24Mar1939 when WWII stopped civil aviation ♦
