Botswana Airways

Bechuanaland Safaris was formed in early 1960’s and Bechuanaland National Airways took over its routes after being re-organised on 01Oct1965, with the help of the UK airline Autair International. The carrier commenced operations on 15/Nov/1965. The airline ceased operations late in 1966 and entered receivership. Operations of Bechuanaland National Airways were taken over by Botswana National Airways on 30Sep1966

Botswana Airways Corporation was formed in Jul1969 to succeed Botswana National Airways. It ceased operating in 1972 and was succeeded by Air Botswana
