– [Air France has named its low-cost carrier subsidiary Joon. It was originally to be called Boost but was renamed prior to start-up. It will commence operations from its Paris CDG hub later this autumn. Initial services will cover the medium-haul sector with long-haul flights to begin in mid-2018. Joon formally inaugurated flight operations with its maiden commercial services from Paris CDG to each of Berlin Tegel, Lisbon, Porto, and Barcelona El Prat having taken off on 01Dec2017. Air France has signalled the end for its Joon brand by launching a review of the unit as it looks at integrating the carrier’s employees and aircraft into the wider operation]
