Bali Air was founded as Nusantara Air Service (a subsidiary of the airline Bouraq Indonesia Airlines) in 1973 with operations starting the sae year. On 21May1974, the company changed its name officially to Bali International Air Service and then used its aircraft under the brand appearance of Bali Air on a regional line network and on charter flights. Bali Air ceased its activities in February 2006 due to financial problems
