♦ ATA (Air Tourisme Alpine) was formed in 1969 to operate tourist charter flights from Basle. In 1972 newspaper contract flights were operated to Munich, Zurich, Geneva and Paris, initially using a Hamilton Turboliner (Beech 18) and later a Viscount 800 leased from SATA. Unfortunately the demise of ATA (Air Tourisme Alpine) was the inability to get going on the CL-44 it bought from Transmeridian Air Cargo during 1973 ♦
