Ando Hikoki Kenkyujo (Ando Flying Institute) was founded in Feb1920 as a flying school near Nagoya. It began a once weekly summer service to the seaside towns of Gamagori and Futami in 1931. All it’s routes were taken over by DNK (Dai-Nippon Koku Kabushiki-Kaisha)(Greater Japan Airlines) on 01Oct 1938
[DNK (Dai-Nippon Koku Kabushiki-Kaisha)(Greater Japan Airlines) was formed on 28Nov1938 by merger of the NKYKK + KKKK. On 01Oct1938 DNK became the sole airline in Japan, taking over all other airlines, or there routes. Although formally disbanded at the end of the war, operations ceased earlier beause of fuel shortages]
