[- Saturn Airways was formed as All American Airways and started operating in 1948. Renamed in 1959. In 1965 Saturn acquired AAXICO Airlines. The carrier absorbing the assets of defunct Universal Airlines in May1972. Saturn was finally absorbed by Trans International Airlines in Dec1976

[ – Transamerica Airlines was formed as Los Angeles Air Service in 1947. The name changed to Trans International Airlines on 18Jul1960. It acquired Saturn Airways in 1976. First supplemental jet operator in 1962. Renamed to Transamerica Airlines on 01Oct1979. Ceased operations on 30Sep1986
