Air Alpes was founded & started operations in 1961. Launch customer for Aerospatiale Corvette. in 1974 Air Alpes acquired Air Champagne Ardennes soon after the takeover of Air Limousin and Pyrenair
– [TAT EUROPEAN AIRLINES was formed by Michel Marchais in 1968 as an air taxi company known as TOURAINE AIR TRANSPORT. Acquired AIR ALPES, AIR PARIS, AIR ALSACE, AIR ROUERQUE, TAXI AVIA FRANCE and ROUSSEAU AVIATION. As a result of the wider services the airline was renamed to TRANSPORT AERIEN TRANSREGIONAL. Later renamed to TAT. BA Express. British Airways merged TAT into Air Liberté on 26Oct1997]
– [AIR LIB was formed by merger of AOM and AIR LIBERTE and was previously known as AOM-AIR LIBERTE. Ceased operations in early 2003]
