♦ Air South (iii) began scheduled flights in 1980 as Bahama-Caribbean Airlines between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale to Bimini. The company changed its name to Bahamas Caribbean Airlines in 1981 and then to Aero International in 1982. In 1985, the name was changed a final time to Air South (iii). The airline ceased operations in 1987 ♦
