Air Lithuania was established as a state-owned company on 13Sep1991 after the reorganization of Aeroflot division, Kaunas. it was reorganised from a state-owned company into a Joint Stock Company. It started charter flights on 15Feb1992. The first scheduled flight was in Feb1993 from Kaunas to Budapest. In Aug1997, the shares of Air Lithuania were transferred to the parent company Lietuvos avialinijos (Lithuanian Airlines. Air Lithuania ceased operations on 23Nov2005
