Air Iceland Connect

Air Iceland Connect was formed in Akureyri by Tryggvi Helgason as Norðurflug in 1959, and was incorporated as Flugfélag Norðurlands on 01May1975. Flugfélag Norðurlands merged with Icelandair’s domestic division, Flugfélag Innanlands, to form Flugfélag Íslands (also known as Air Iceland) with operations starting on 30Jun1997. Rebranded itself as Air Iceland Connect as of 24May2017 (Scheduled domestic passenger airline)
