Air Gabon was formed as Compagnie Aerienne Gabonaise in 1951. It became the national flag carrier in 1968, then renamed Air Gabon in May1977, after Gabon withdrew from the Air Afrique consortium in Dec1976. Ceased operating on 24Feb2006 due to financial reasons
