[ – Challenge Airlines BE was founded in Apr2017 as ACE (Air Cargo Europe). The airline rebranded as ACE Belgium Freighters in 2018, prior to start and received its AOC in Apr2019. It started operations on 02May2019. ACE Belgium Freighters has had to change its name to Challenge Airlines BE to settle a trademark dispute so that it can operate to the United States. The airline’s control Share Holder is Offer Gilboa who also controls CAL Cargo Air Lines (Israeli freight specialist). Both airlines are part of Challenge Group, which specializes in complex air cargo. the group’s headquarter is in Malta and the main hub logistics hub is in Liege, Belgium. The group include also a large handling facility, logistics(trucking) arm and a leasing arm all under the same branding: Challenge.
